Hawaii consists of 137 islands, with eight major islands formed by volcanoes rising from the Pacific seafloor. The islands continue to grow as volcanic activity shapes the landscape.

Aloha
State
Hawaii is a state born from fire and surrounded by water. Formed by volcanic activity in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, its islands are home to unique ecosystems, rich cultural traditions, and landscapes found nowhere else on Earth. This project explores how isolation, nature, and culture shape life across the islands.
